Sealy Bed & Mattress Guarantee & Warranty

Guarantee applicable on purchases made from 2nd April 2019

In the unlikely event of a defect in material or workmanship occurring within the 5 year guarantee period, we will arrange to repair or replace a Sealy mattress or bed complaint free of charge at our discretion. The guarantee will continue from the original date of purchase.

Sealy reserve the right to refuse service with any defect if:

1. The defect is due to causes other than faulty materials or workmanship 
2. The Sealy mattress or bed is soiled and in an insanitary condition 
3. Any of our Terms and Conditions are not abided to in full

When repairing or replacing items under the guarantee, we reserve the right to substitute products or materials should the original no longer be available and cannot undertake to match items not under complaint. This does not affect the purchaser’s statutory rights.

Guarantee applicable on purchases made before 2nd April 2019

As of July 2014 all Big Brand Beds customers get a 2 year guarantee and 8 year warranty on all posturepedic and posturepocket divan sets. There's a 1 year guarantee and 4 year warranty on any Sealy mattress purchased separately.

In the unlikely event of a defect in material or workmanship occurring within the guarantee period, Sealy will arrange to repair or replace the item (bed, mattress or both) free of charge

If a manufacturing defect should occur within the remaining period of warranty, then Sealy will replace the item at a usage charge. This charge will reflect the period of use, the current retail price and the number of years left on the warranty. e.g A charge for a Posturepedic mattress that is 6 years old is calculated at 60% of the current retail price plus delivery/installation charges.

It is with the retailer that the purchasers contract of sale exists and consequently Sealy cannot enter into any discussions with the purchaser until the retailer has inspected any alleged complaint and judged it justified or otherwise. On receipt of the retailers report Sealy will take whatever action is necessary under the terms of this warranty.

The warranty applies to purchases made in the UK only.

Sealy beds are designed as complete sleep sets. However if a mattress is purchased seperately, it must not be used on an existing sprung base, on a base with slats more than 7.5cm apart or on a damaged or unsupportive base.

When repairing or replacing items under this warrant, Sealy reserve the right to substitute alternative materials, or models should the original no longer be available and cannot undertake to match other items not under complaint, with any substitute cloth used. This warranty does not affect the purchasers statutory rights.

Any claims under this warranty must be made initially through the retailer from whom the Sealy bed was purchased.
