How do I assemble my Sealy divan bed?

Your Sealy divan bed is reasonably easy to assemble. Follow our simple instructions and you won’t go wrong whether you are putting together a divan base with drawers or without.

Attach the glides to the underside of the divan base by gently tapping into the metal sockets.
In the case of a double, king size or super king size bed, you will need to join the 2 divan bases.
To do this, bring the 2 halves together so the black plastic locking plates are opposite each other. Lift one half slightly and drop into the opposite connector so they are interlocked.
Repeat on the other side of the bed.
Place your Sealy mattress on the base and finally add your Sealy headboard.

How do I assemble my Sealy bed on legs?

Your Sealy bed with legs is reasonably easy to assemble. Follow our simple instructions and you won’t go wrong.

Place the base(s) on its side with the metal corner plates to the outer corners. Screw the legs into the outer corners and tighten.
To connect the divan bases, place a leg through the slot in the linking bar and loosely tighten into one of the central holes. Loosely screw a leg into the hole opposite and hook the link bar behind.
Repeat this on the other side of the bed.
Once joined, press firmly together and tighten legs.
Carefully turn the bed onto its legs and add the Sealy mattress.

How do I assemble my Sealy ottoman bed?

Sealy ottoman beds require a little more thought when assembling. However, if you follow our instructions it should be easy enough.

Once unwrapped, the first thing to do is remove the wooden corner transit posts.
Turn the base on its side and gently tap the glides into the corner sockets. If you have a double ottoman bed or bigger, repeat the process for the other half base.
To join, align the divan bases and pierce the fabric on the side where the bases join. These holes are marked with stickers.
Tightly fix together using the male (with washer) and female bolts.
To complete the linking, you need to join the lids using another male and female bolt. The hole is located at the foot end of the lid.
You are now ready for the Sealy mattress.

How do I fit my Sealy headboard?

Headboards are easy to fit to your bed.

Sealy Strutted Headboard

Having identified the head end, locate the pre-drilled holes which are marked by round stickers.
We suggest you use your finger to identify the centre of the holes as you will need to carefully pierce the fabric there.
Position the headboard and attach to the bed with the headboard bolts.
You can alter the position of your Sealy headboard by changing the position of the screws in the back of it. There are 5 positions to choose from.

Sealy Floor Standing Headboard

Having identified the head end, locate the pre-drilled holes which are marked by round stickers.
We suggest you use your finger to identify the centre of the holes as you will need to carefully pierce the fabric there.
Position the headboard and attach by threading the bolt through the hole in the headboard and into the socket in the base. Tighten firmly.
