The AlignSupport® springs are surrounded with UniCased® edge support. The clever design features interlocking keys that hold the spring unit securly in place. This is a huge benefit if you are a person of larger stature as the springs are extremely stable and have no wiggle room. The UniCased® edge support also ensures that the entire surface of the mattress can be used with no roll off. It also helps the mattress sides retain their shape when sat on.

In the centre third of the mattress a ComfortCore™ has been added to give additon pressure relief on your hips and lower back. This is placed between a double layer of extra firm foam which provides a good firm sleep surface.

Another new feature is the BasePlank. This provides a robust foundation to the mattress. Incorporated within the BasePlank are multiple air channels which allow air to circulate around the mattress.

This is a substantial Sealy mattress with a deep quilted knitted mattress cover that looks and feels great. The high quality soft touch fabric has been woven with SmarTex® which helps regulate your body temperature. In addition to this it also has ProShield® treatment which works as an anti allergen and helps to keep your mattress as fresh as the day you bought it.

Sitting on the mattress I can immediately feel the support offered by the UniCased® springs. The side barely moves under my 17 stone and the side keeps its shape incredibly well. It is firm to sit on and feels like it has been made for just that. I'm already sensing this is a great mattress for big people.

I'm surprised at the level of comfort when lying on my back. This is a firm mattress and I can certainly feel that, but the layers of upholstery make it remarkably comfortable. Being a firm mattress it is very easy to move around and once again I am surprised at the comfort when lying on my side. Lying on my stomach is a different matter. After a couple minutes in this position, it is clear to me that this is not a mattress for those that want to sleep on their front. Overall this is great mattress for those that like a firm feel or those that are larger than average.
