Birlea Furniture - COVID-19 Update

We hope that you are all keeping safe and well during these difficult times.

As a business who has been allowed to stay open during lockdown, we have been working hard to comply with the Government’s guidelines surrounding this.

The safety of our employees, our customers and our suppliers is our priority and we are continuing to abide by Covid-19 measures in place.

Customer Services - Please allow up to 48 hours for us to get back to your request. Please do not send additional emails for updates; cases will be raised from the original request and acknowledgements will be sent.

Incoming Stock – Due to this being a Worldwide Pandemic, there may be delays in stock arrival dates. Please check our website for updated dates within our live stock-feed.

Home Deliveries - We are continuing to process orders daily, but due to us operating with a reduced fleet at present, delivery times may be longer than normal.

As most of you are aware we are due to receive a shipment of stock from our factory in the next couple of weeks and we will then have good stock quantities on almost all product lines.

Dunlopillo November Lockdown Delivery News

Following this weekend’s Government Announcement about the forthcoming November National Lockdown, Dunlopillo want to reassure all customers that they are expecting to continue to produce and deliver to us as normal.

Hypnos

Hypnos, like many bed companies has been affected by the global shortages of the wire and fabric needed to make pocket springs, particularly in Hypnos’ case where many mattresses consist of pocket springs that are made with a unique comfort-geometry or are made-to-measure to form bespoke sizes. These shortages are beyond our control.

Nevertheless, during lockdown our craftsmen will continue to manufacture mattresses and beds, with our workshops and warehouse ‘open for business’. As we continue to meet the current demand, our products will remain on extended lead times and lockdown will also have some impact on the response times of our customer service and sales teams, where we have had to furlough some team members, but please bear with us as it may take a little bit longer than normal for us to respond.

We would be grateful, if you could continue to manage customer expectations, making them aware of the global issues impacting pocket spring manufacturing and the longer times to make and deliver our products, referring them to our website Covid-19 news as needed.

We will continue to closely support your business, sharing any updates with you so that you are able to communicate any changes with your customers at the very earliest opportunity.

Relyon November Lockdown Delivery News

Following this weekend’s Government Announcement about the forthcoming November National Lockdown, Relyon want to reassure all customers that they are expecting to continue to produce and deliver to us as normal.

I can assure you that our warehouse will remain open throughout this next period of UK lockdown and we will continue to fulfill your customers orders within 48 hours. As most of you are aware we are due to receive a shipment of stock from our factory in the next couple of weeks and we will then have good stock quantities on almost all product lines.

Wholesale Beds

In line with Government guidelines, as of midnight on Thursday 5th November we will not be delivering any goods using our own vehicles until further notice as retailers have been told to close their businesses.


As with the first lockdown, we will be still open for business as are supplier to NHS providers. We will be operating with a minimum amount of staff, so please bear with us if you try to contact us.

As with the previous lockdown, we can fulfil online orders. We quickly learnt from the last lockdown that the next day service simply wasn't always achievable, due to the sheer quantity of online orders going through couriers. Therefore, we will not be offering any guarantees to delivery dates. At its height, one depot had a backlog of 2 weeks before they were delivering goods so customers need to be realistic with their expectations with regards to deliveries.
