With the AIS bed show looming, it is time to take a look at how the current range has performed. The main growth has been in the middle to upmarket sector, with Relyon, Sealy and Staples performing exceptionally well. We have also seen good growth from Myers. This is largely due to the excellent sales of the Dreamworld Elara and Cosmo Easycare. The Myers Elara divan and mattress (pictured) is the best selling Dreamworld model.
Our Dreamworld collection remains a strong offering with price points between £199 and £999. There are 23 beds in this range. However, we do expect to see some changes at the show.
We can look forward to seeing a new Dreamworld Contract collection from Relyon. We believe there will be a range of 3 beds which will carry the FIRA Gold product certification. These beds and mattresses will be ideally suited for boutique hotels, holiday lets etc.
In terms of trends, we are seeing a growth in bedsteads and a widening of fabric colours and textures used on these. Divan bases are following the same route. A little bird has told us to expect to see a new collection of fabrics for both Staples and Myers bases. We are also expecting to see more ottoman base options being introduced.
We will update you with the new models as soon as we return from the show.
