But does our sleep, or lack of, really affect how attractive we are? When you sleep your skin produces collagen, a protein which repairs your skin making it plumper and less likely to wrinkle. In fact, people who only get 5 hours of sleep a night can actually develop twice as many fine lines and wrinkles than people who sleep 7 hours a night. A lack of sleep will also dry your skin out, meaning any wrinkles you have will appear more prominent.
