It has been a very difficult time over the last few months for the UK – challenging in all aspects and heart-breaking in many. Now that you, our valued customers, are able to re-open safely and in a measured way we wanted to give you a little additional help to boost your efforts.

Hypnos are pleased to confirm that we will be offering the ‘Royal Upgrade’ promotion starting from orders received from 1st June and running until the 30th June. This means that the promotion is ‘King Size for the price of a Double’, as well as an additional 5% discount off the Stockist Price list for all other sizes. Qualifying products include mattresses, divan bases and headboards, but excludes bedding accessories and the Trio Guest Bed.

Hypnos Production Update 18.5.20

Over the past few weeks, life has been very different for us all and Hypnos would like to say a huge thank you to all our retail partners for your patience and understanding whilst we’ve been temporarily closed.

Whilst some manufacturers have been able to continue working during the lockdown, Hypnos took the decision to pause its production. The government has now begun to slowly ease some of the lockdown restrictions, whilst sharing guidelines on how workplaces should assess risk and safely begin to consider reopening. In response we wanted to let you know that we will be ready to start production again on Monday 1st June.

The health and safety of our colleagues and customers is of paramount importance and we’ve spent time carefully planning our phased and safe return to work, with implementation of our new factory processes and operations taking place over the next couple of weeks to ensure that returning staff are not only able to work safely but feel safe too.

From 1st June we will be adopting a phased back to work approach, using the support of a much smaller production team and corresponding smaller production capacity, to manufacture and organise all the outstanding orders for mattresses, bed sets and bedding placed prior to lockdown.

We currently anticipate that with our smaller production team, plus additional PPE and social distancing safety measures, and the consequential new levels of efficiency, we aim to complete and despatch all outstanding orders to our retail partners by the end of July.

Our customer services will contact you by email by the end of May to confirm your scheduled delivery dates for all your outstanding orders.

Naturally there will be a number of uncertainties ahead, not withstanding the availability of raw materials from our supply chain, from pocket springs to every upholstery fabric colour. We will also be carefully scheduling and managing your deliveries during June and July to ensure the safety of our delivery and retail partners. This includes applying Public Health England guidelines to the delivery process.

Our stringent new production safety measures include:

  • Scheduled arrival times and car parking procedures and different entrances for employees to minimise contact
  • Provision of PPE, including masks, gloves and hand sanitisers
  • Induction training sessions for returning staff that will explain all the stringent safety and cleaning processes that must be followed at all times
  • Employee’s temperature taken each morning through contactless methods. Anyone with a temperature will be asked to go home to self-isolate
  • Implementing and following all government guidelines
  • New packing and warehouse processes
  • Revised loading and distribution controls

During the next few weeks our field sales team will remain furloughed, and our customer services will continue to work safely and remotely from home to manage any urgent enquiries. Please keep in mind that it might take a little longer to respond than normal and that we appreciate your understanding and patience during this difficult time.
