The Guarantee
1. Use of products
1.1 You agree only to use the products for their normal and proper use and not to alter or modify or otherwise interfere with them
1.2 You agree to follow the manufacturer’s instructions supplied with the products and not to use the products in a careless or negligent manner.
2. Returns
2.1 If the product is damaged on delivery, we will replace or repair free of charge providing the carrier is aware that they have damaged the goods. You shall be responsible for the repair or replacement of the goods if the goods have been signed for and are damaged.
2.2 If you find your products to be faulty or damaged when opened, you must report the complaint within 48 hours and the goods will be exchanged or repaired within 14 days of delivery. In such circumstances, provided that the product(s) are adequately wrapped, we will meet all delivery and
return costs. Bags can be provided by us to ensure the product is returned to us in good condition. If the product is not returned in reasonable condition, we reserve the right to refuse a refund. This does not affect your statutory rights.
3. Guarantee
3.1 The guarantee on the removable cover is 1 year and the mattress core 1 year
3.2 The guarantee on the 6 cm overlay is 1 year
3.3 The guarantee covers physical defects or changes that cause a visible indentation of more than 2 cm
3.4 The guarantee does not cover normal changes in hardness of the memory foam, nor does it cover light discoloration of polyurethane foams or any dislike of the inherent smell of memory foam.
3.5 The guarantee is valid only if the Breasley or Salus Product is used and handled as described in these instructions for use and unpacked within 9 months from the date of manufacture.
3.6 If a claim is made under the guarantee, you must present the original invoice or sales receipt as proof of your purchase

Memory foam mattresses

Temperature
Please bear in mind, Visco-Elastic memory foam reacts to heat! The mattress will feel firmer in a cold room but will soften with body heat. Please be aware if used with an electric blanket the memory foam may react to your body temperature quicker making the mattress feel softer than normal
Odour
Your new mattress may give off an odour after it is unpacked. Don’t worry - it is totally safe and the odour will disappear over time. A well-ventilated room will help quicken this process.
Colour
The foam core may become discoloured over a period of time. Please be assured that this is a reaction caused by sunlight or UV from electric lights and in no way affects the support or physical structure of the mattress.
Washing
The foam core of the mattress cannot be washed or dry-cleaned. If the foam becomes soiled, spot clean with warm water and a mild detergent only. Allow foam to air dry out of direct sunlight. Your mattress comes with the option of a removable and cleanable cover. In order to have this option, the cover is loose fitting and may move or gather slightly from time to time. This is perfectly normal and can easily be addressed by gently pulling the cover back to shape if and when required. PLEASE REMOVE THE MATTRESS LABEL PRIOR TO CLEANING THE COVER.
Turning
A double-sided mattress must be turned over regularly. i.e. every 3 months. If you have a ‘No Turn’ mattress, there is no need to do this. In either case, rotate your mattress from head to toe every 3 months to ensure weight is applied equally across it.
Settlement
Over time, your body will create a natural impression in the high quality mattress core. This is known as settlement and is perfectly normal.
Usage
Take care not to use your mattress incorrectly. Do not sit on the side of it for long periods as this will create uneven wear. Do not allow children to jump on the mattress. Do not place or store heavy objects on the mattress. Do not bend or roll the mattress as this can cause problems with the foam core. Do not stand or store the mattress on its side, keep flat at all times.
