2 year guarantee and 10 year warranty
Staples will repair or replace any mattress or divan base bearing their name, if it should prove unsatisfactory through defective material or workmanship.
This service is free during the first two years after you have bought your Staples bed. If the service is required during subsequent years, any repair or replacement will be made at Staples discretion, at a charge of 1/12 of the current price, multiplied by the number of years owned. On all warranty claims a contribution towards transport costs will be charged.
To obtain the service please contact, with proof of purchase, the retailer where you bought your bed. They will thoroughly investigate.
After carrying out their inspection, if they identify a fault in material or workmanship, the retailer will arrange for the faulty item to be returned to Staples for repair or replacement.
If identical materials are not available, or if a particular model is no longer in production, Staples reserve the right to use alternative similar materials or substitute a current model. In particular, Staples are unable to ensure that divan and mattress covers will match after stocks of covers are exhausted.
This warranty is valid in Great Britain and Northern Ireland only and is in addition to your statutory rights.

Open Coil and Pocketed Models
The nesting of the pocketed spring unit means that depending on the method of delivery the mattress may be slightly different in size to the divan base. This difference is normal with pocketed spring mattresses. Because Staples use generous layers of the finest upholstery materials they may take longer than inferior quality beds to settle evenly. The settlement will first be evident in the most common sleeping positions, this is quite normal and should not concern you. The mattress should be turned from side to side, and top to tail weekly for the first three months, and subsequently once monthly. Even with this turning there is the possibility that the upholstery in the centre of the mattress may settle more quickly, as the body weight is concentrated there. This is not a fault, and with correct turning the upholstery will settle evenly over the whole mattress with time.
Visco Elastic , Latex and Non-Turn Models
These mattresses do not have springs and should not be turned over as only the top surface is designed for sleeping. You should however rotate them from end to end once a month to even the wear over the sleeping surface.
All Models
Sitting right on the edge of the bed will put undue strain on the edge, and may also damage the borders of the mattress.
Ensure the children do not use the bed as a trampoline as this may damage the mattress.
Never fold or roll the mattress, even for temporary storage or removal, this will cause permanent damage to the internal components.
You should never use a new Staples mattress on an old or inferior base, as this could damage or prematurely age the mattress.

Mattresses
All Staples mattresses are individually upholstered by craftsmen. Support comes from Pocketed Springing, Visco-elastic Memory Foam or Talalay Latex or a combination is also available. Each spring is held under slight tension in an individual pocket, while the foam mattresses offer a unique sleeping experience.
Traditional tufting is especially important when securing the generous quantities of fillings employed, especially on the more lavish models. Modern envelope style quilted surfaces are used on the Memory foam and latex models. The borders of most models are reinforced with side stitching, to give a firmer edge and prolong the life of the mattress.
Bases
The divan base compliments the mattress and provides essential support. Staples offer 3 types of base to suit your individual needs.
Sprung Bases
Edge to edge comfort with steel reinforced edge
Board Top Bases
A firmer feel where extra support is required.
Firm Edge Bases
Traditional sprung divans on legs.
Drawers
All divans can be supplied with drawers without loss of comfort. Staples drawers run with silky smoothness on steel runners. On the top of the range models plywood drawers with traditional dovetails are used.
Linking
To create larger beds many people prefer to zip* and link two beds together, thus making the option of an extra large bed or twin beds at will. Our cleverly arranged zips* still allow mattresses to be properly turned.
Zipping* and linking has the added benefit that each partner may choose the tension of mattress most suited to his or her comfort and support requirements.
*Zips are used on the top of the range models only. Velcro linking is used on all other models
