1 year guarantee and 4 year warranty on all divan sets. 1 year guarantee on any Rest Assured mattress purchased separately.
In the unlikely event of a defect in material or workmanship occurring within the guarantee period, Rest Assured will arrange to repair or replace the item free of charge
If a manufacturing defect should occur within the remaining period of warranty, then Rest Assured will replace the item at a usage charge. This charge will reflect the period of use, the current retail price and the number of years left on the warranty plus delivery/installation charges.
It is with the retailer that the purchasers contract of sale exists and consequently Rest Assured cannot enter into any discussions with the purchaser until the retailer has inspected any alleged complaint and judged it justified or otherwise. On receipt of the retailers report Rest Assured will take whatever action is necessary under the terms of this warranty.
The warranty applies to purchases made in the UK only.
Rest Assured reserve the right to refuse service when any defect is due to causes other than faulty materials or workmanship, or if the item is soiled and in an insanitary condition.
Rest Assured beds are designed as complete sleep sets and the extended warranty will not apply on a Rest Assured mattress unless it is used with the matching Rest Assured base. When repairing or replacing items under this warrant, Rest Assured reserve the right to substitute alternative materials, or models should the original no longer be available and cannot undertake to match other items not under complaint, with any substitute cloth used. This warranty does not affect the purchasers statutory rights.
Any claims under this warranty must be made initially through the retailer from whom the bed was purchased.
Caring for your Rest Assured Bed
Maintaining perfect performance from your Rest Assured bed
Thank you for choosing a Rest Assured bed. This section is designed to help you get the very most out of your pocket spring bed and ensure it offers you the highest possible levels of enjoyment and performance.
Bed Assembly
Be sure to follow all the enclosed bed assembly instructions correctly to ensure your Rest Assured bed is safely ready for use. Remove all polythene packaging and dispose of it carefully to avoid any possible injury to children. Remove any loose staples with pliers and dispose of safely.
Mattress Size
Because all Rest Assured mattresses are made by hand and the unique nature of our mattresses, during transit of the bed the size of mattress may contract. Do not be concerned that the mattress isn't the size you ordered, once it is in your home it will gradually spread to its actual size. Also allow your new mattress to breathe for four hours before fitting your bedding as this will allow any moisture trapped by packaging to evaporate.
Filling Settlement
It is completely normal for mattress fillings to settle in a handmade pocket mattress. The fillings are designed to mould to the shape of your body over the first few weeks of use enhancing the comfort and support the mattress provides. Regular turning of the mattress is required to help prolong the mattress life span. If you have purchased a No Turn mattress, this will not be necessary although we do recommend that you turn the mattress from end to end from time to time to increase longevity.
Don't roll or bend mattress
When you do move the mattress, be careful not to roll or fold it as this could result in distorting the structure of the pocket spring unit. We also advise that you do not store the mattress on its side or end.
Avoid sitting on the very edge
If possible avoid using the edge of the mattress as a seat as such localised pressure may reduce support in that area.
Turning Guide
A traditional style Rest Assured mattress will occasionally require careful turning to maintain filling performance and reduce settlement. We suggest for the first two or three months you turn it once a week then monthly thereafter. When turning do not allow it to bang or fall against the side of the divan as this may damage the spring system. A No Turn Mattress has been designed for convenience as it does not need to be turned.
Storage Guide
If you have chosen a bed with drawer options, please note that all drawers are pre-fitted onto the runner system. Remove fabric holding the drawer closed and re-fix handles.
Divan Bases
The two divan bases are easily linked together by the linking boards that are provided. These should be positioned by hand and given a sharp tap with a mallet. Do not use a metal object as this can cause damage to the castors or base.
Tufts
All tufts on your mattress have been hand tufted by our skilled craftsmen. They are designed to keep the upholstery in place. The tuft twine will break (by design) if the mattress is misused. They are easily replaced and you should contact the retailer from where you purchased the bed.
Cleaning
If for any reason the mattress or divan needs to be cleaned we recommend you use professional upholstery cleaners. Chemical cleaners and liquids of any sort should not be used. In the event of soiling, the mattress may be lightly sponged with a weak solution of soap and water. Excessive wetting can cause damage to the fabric.
