No sooner have we finished at the AIS bed show, than we are off to Telford to the National Bed Federation’s annual Bed Show, Britain’s biggest bed exhibition.
It does help us that the two shows are so close together as the new ranges we saw at AIS last week are still fresh in the mind. Therefore we can spend more time with suppliers that didn’t show at AIS. With over 70 companies exhibiting there is plenty to see.
It’s another early start, but we can only spare a day as we are trying to open a new store. We arrive at the Telford International Centre shortly after 10 o’clock.
Although we saw Graham and his team at AIS, it was good to see the Silentnight group and have another look at the new products. Rest Assured is targeting the independent retailer and the over 45s market with a brand new more traditional, affordable, luxury bed collection that focus on backcare.
Sealy are showing what they call their best ever range, the Posturepedic Hybrid collection combining gel infused foam and springs, which has gone down a storm in the USA.
Staples’ new range included the Ambrose, presented at Buckingham Palace for the Coronation Festival plus a selection of new fabrics and headboard designs.
Relyon’s new collections include the Royal Heritage Montecute, right at the top end of its range plus, by demand, new low height divan bases, an updated headboard collection and the FIRA Gold standard awarded Boutique Contract collection. As the entire range was on show at AIS it was unnecessary to spend too much time with Relyon.
