The owners of Bensons for Beds and Harveys, Steinhoff International have acquired the Myers, Dunlopillo, Staples and Slumberland bed brands.
The brands, part of the Horatio Myer and Co company based in Huntingdon, were bought by Hilding Anders in 2007, now become part of Steinhoff UK Manufacturing (formerly Steinhoff UK Beds), which already owns Relyon beds.
Managing director Andy Murdoch said: "We feel privileged to be part of the future for these iconic bed brands that between them and the Relyon business have the potential product offering that meets the spectrum of choice across all retail formats. Manufacturing will continue at all the current locations where plans are under way for substantial growth and investment over the coming years."
Big Brand Beds have long associations with Myers, Dunlopillo, Staples, Slumberland and Relyon and are delighted to hear that the future of 4 of the best UK bed brands has been secured. Afterall, the loss of a bed manufacturer with a Royal Warrant really wouldn't be good for business.
