Another 6.15am start and off to the AIS bed show at Solihull. A leisurely run, arriving at 9.00am. Read on for our highlights of the show
First port of call was Myers. They have updated the range with new base fabrics and a shallow 31cm deep divan base option on all beds. That along with an ottoman option means Myers beds now have an excellent offer.
Slumberland have changed their entire collection. All our previous models will be discontinued and exciting new beds introduced. They all come with 6 fashion fabric options for the divan base and matching headboards. The range was extremely good and we particularly liked the Dreamworld Magnolia.
Staples have retained the old favourites and introduced 3 new pocket sprung beds with luxurious natural fillings. It's definitely the direction they are moving in and all Staples beds are now available in a choice of 10 divan base fabrics.
Relyon have refreshed the Aurora with a new cover and added an extra row of side stitching to the Royal Bath mattress. The range of roll pack mattresses is as good as any we have seen. They have added one new bed, the Relyon Royal Sandown, a luxurious bed.
MiBed, the group’s adjustable bed supplier of choice have an extremely good range. The best selling Larissa Adjustable caught our eye once again and the new Cool Gel bed.
Sealy are another of our suppliers that have experienced great success this past year. The need for wholesale change isn't there. The Sealy Lily Posture Zone 7 divan and mattress makes a welcome addition as a pillowtop option.
The Silentnight Geltex Synergy range looks great and is selling well and will make a great addition to our range. The option of a deep or shallow base covered in 5 different makes marks these beds out as definite winners.
Rest Assured are clearly targeting the more mature market in terms of look and feel, with plenty of attention to detail.
We have never dealt with Sweet Dreams, but their entry level offer is particularly strong. The Dreamworld Blossom Pillowtop caught our eye and had a good medium firm feel.
Hypnos is another firm we don’t deal with at present. That will be changing though. Their range of pocket sprung beds and mattresses along with storage options and fabric treatments were most impressive. We particularly liked the Hypnos Orthocare 10 bed and the pillowtop beds. We even tried Lenny Henry’s Premier Inn mattress!
........and then it was time to return south to Sussex.
All we have to do now is select the new models for our showroom and upload them to our website!
