Dunlopillo Guarantee & Warranty

Dunlopillo will, within 8 years of purchase and at our absolute discretion, either repair or replace free of charge any Dunlopillo divan base, Dunlopillo mattress or pillow which we are satisfied is defective due to faulty materials or poor workmanship.

You will need to provide proof of purchase to proceed with any claim.

If you have purchased the Adjustable Electric Base, the motor is guaranteed for 5 years while the remote-control handset is guaranteed for 2 years.

For full details please look for the care card that will be attached to your new Dunlopillo mattress.

The Dunlopillo Guarantee will unfortunately cease to apply if:

Dunlopillo reserve the right to refuse repair or replacement in circumstances where a new latex Dunlopillo mattress has become defective due to use on an unsatisfactory or second-hand base, or is in an unsanitary condition.

  • The product is found to have been mistreated or damaged
  • The product has not been maintained in accordance with the care instructions supplied
  • Any Dunlopillo mattress under complaint has been used with a damaged divan or a divan that is deemed to be of unsuitable quality
  • The mattress has been used on a slatted base with slats more than 7cm apart

Following replacement or repair, the Dunlopillo guarantee will remain valid from the date of original purchase.

*You are entitled to a replacement in year 1 of the guarantee. From year 2-8, we will arrange a repair for the item. If your product cannot be repaired, it is within Dunlopillo’s discretion to replace the item, depending on the origin of the fault.

This guarantee does not affect your statutory rights

The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013

Customers should note that under The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013, they do not have the right to cancel Dunlopillo beds and mattresses that have been specially ordered to their specific specification. This applies to beds with multiple variants, where the bed has been manufactured specifically for the customer. For example where there is a choice of mattress spring tensions and divan base fabrics. This ruling will generally apply to all beds or mattresses ordered from all our suppliers.

The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013
Limits of application: circumstances excluding cancellation
28 (1b) the supply of goods that are made to the consumer’s specifications or are clearly personalised;
28 (3a) In the case of a contract for the supply of sealed goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons, if they become unsealed after delivery;
34 (9) If (in the case of a sales contract) the value of the goods is diminished by any amount as a result of handling of the goods by the consumer beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods, the trader may recover that amount from the consumer, up to the contract price.

If you have any doubt about your order please contact us to discuss prior to ordering

It is for this reason that each Dunlopillo bed or mattress specifically ordered to the customer’s specification is not available from stock and is made to order, hence the general lead time of 6-8 weeks.

Your statutory rights are not affected in the event of faulty merchandise.
